Portfolio & Category Management

Common questions about organizing domains into categories, managing delegate access, letter casing, and exporting your portfolio.

A category is a way to group domains together so shared settings — DNS records, nameservers, auto-renew, privacy protection, and more — can be configured once and applied to every domain in that group automatically, instead of repeating the same setup domain by domain.

There's no ceiling. NameBright's bulk tools have been tested with over 500,000 domains in a single account, and the platform reports more than 6.3 million domains under management overall.

Yes. A delegate account can be scoped to specific domains or specific categories, rather than your whole portfolio, as its access level.

Yes. The DNS Only permission level will allow delegate users to manage domain settings without access to billing or transfer settings.

Yes. Go to Domain Manager and switch to Advanced view, then select the download button in the top right corner, above your domains, to download a list of your whole portfolio.

Yes. DNS records and nameservers are both settings that cascade at the category level.

Yes. NameBright's API supports domain and DNS management through documented endpoints. Access isn't automatic: apply for it from My Account > API Management, accept the API terms, and wait for approval before you can start making calls.

No. A delegate account operates inside the primary account's single shopping cart. Transfer, push, and delete permissions always stay locked to the primary account no matter what else a delegate account is granted.

Yes. Go to Domain Manager, select the domain, and open Letter Casing to edit how the name displays, capitalizing it however you like. This only changes the display in your NameBright account — it has no effect on how the domain resolves or functions. You can do this for multiple domains at once from Domain Manager's Advanced view.

Simple view shows a card for each domain with its expiration and renewal dates, good for a quick look at a handful of domains. Advanced view shows your whole portfolio as a searchable, filterable table, with the bulk action buttons used for DNS, nameservers, renewals, and more. Switch views from the toggle at the top of Domain Manager.
