Getting Started & Accounts

Common questions about creating an account, logging in, and managing delegate accounts.

Just an email address and a password. You don't need to already have a domain in mind, or make a purchase, to create an account — registering a domain happens as a separate step once you're signed in.

No. Creating an account is free. Costs only start when you register, renew, or transfer a domain, not for having an account on its own.

Use the "Lost Your Password?" link on the login page, enter your email or username, and follow the reset link it sends you to set a new password. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.

Not exactly one account with multiple logins, but NameBright does support delegate accounts — a separate login you grant access to some of your domains and settings, with its own access level and permission level, without making it a second owner on your primary account.

Your primary account is the actual owner. It holds full control, including transfer, push, and delete permissions that can never be delegated away. A delegate account is a separate login you grant a specific access level (All Domains & Categories, Specific Domains, or Specific Categories) and permission level (Manage DNS, or Full Access, which excludes billing or ownership rights) for day-to-day domain management, without handing over ownership-level control.

By phone or through NameBright's support contact channels during business hours — see the next FAQ for the exact hours. Abuse reports go to a separate dedicated address rather than general support.

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Mountain Time. Phone: 720-496-0020. Abuse reports go to abuse@namebright.com specifically, separate from general support.

From the login page, click the "Forgot Username" link. Then use NameBright's username-recovery tool and enter the email address on your account. It emails you your username, separate from the password-reset flow.
